Conor McGregor UFC News: Donald Cerrone 'gives up' on fighting the Notorious

Conor McGregor is on the lookout for a new opponent, as UFC lightweight contender Donald Cerrone has admitted he's giving up on a fight with the Irishman.

The pair had been aiming to fight this Summer, but Cerrone has since taken a bout for this weekend with Al Iaquinta, and has admitted he is done chasing a big money bout with 'The Notorious.

Speaking with MMAJunkie.com, Cerrone said: "We were supposed to fight in April and then it got moved to July and I just thought 'nah, I'm not going to wait, let's go'.

"They were trying to figure out what to do with Al [Iaquinta], and I said I'd fight him, because I knew if I hadn't I'd still be waiting to fight Conor right now.

"I'll take [the fight with Conor McGregor] if it does come up, but if not I'll take whoever's next, but I love my job, I love fighting.
