Conor McGregor UFC news: Donald Cerrone fails to make his after party after being rushed to hospital

Donald Cerrone was a no-show at his own after party after a first round defeat to Conor McGregor saw him rushed to hospital.

The Cowboy had no response as McGregor thundered in a barrage of punches to end the main even of UFC 246 in just 40 seconds.

Cerrone congratulated his opponent after the fight but was then sent to hospital in Las Vegas to get his injuries checked out.

It meant he missed the post-fight press conference and he also didn't show up to On The Record at the MGM Park Hotel where his after party was planned.

Meanwhile, McGregor soaked up the atmosphere from fans at the his official bafter-party at at Encore Beach Club on the Las Vegas strip.

The MMA fighter was draped in the Irish tri-colour on stage and lapped up the deafening cheers from fans celebrating the return of the UFC poster boy to the Octagon.

McGregor thanked fans for their support and said it helped seal the win against Donald Cerrone.

Conor McGregor said to the crowd: "What's up Ireland. Thank you all so much for the support.

"Let's get this party started.

"This support got me the win tonight."

'The Notorious' then raised his arms and looked to the roof as "All I do is win" by DJ Khaled thumped from the speakers.
