Conor McGregor UFC news: Darren Till makes prediction for Notorious' fight with Donald Cerrone

Darren Till believes Conor McGregor will beat Donald Cerrone in the first round of their UFC 246 bout.

The Notorious makes his eagerly anticipated return to the Octagon on January 18 when he faces 'Cowboy' in Las Vegas.

And Till predicts it will be a quick finish for McGregor at the T Mobile Arena.

In a statement he shared on Twitter, Till also addressed claims by Cerrone's head coach Jafari Vanier that McGregor has "more to worry about" as the Dubliner only has "a left hand" in his arsenal .

“I cannot f**king wait for Conor X Cowboy next week. Feels like the old Conor is back,” Till wrote.

“Both are right up for this. Cowboy’s camp have more to be concerned with than just Conor’s left hand though.

"As a southpaw, it’s not the left hand. It’s the set ups from the left hand, the spinning kicks, the faints, angles, etc…

“It all draws you onto the left hand. Also that’s not just what he brings! You don’t beat who he beat by just having a left hand.

"If I would have (sic) taken my own advice above against Masvidal rather than just coming out to try and steamroll him. But he done me fair and good!"

Till added: “Anyways let’s see a f**king tear up next week! I’ve got Conor 1st round TKO, feel like the occasion may just be too much for Cowboy!

"But that’s just my opinion, Cowboy’s been around a lot longer than me and knows a hell of a lot more.”

This week, Vanier said of McGregor: “If I were to look at the two, he’s got a lot more to worry about than we do.

“We’ve got multiple submission victories, head-kick knockout victories, we’ve got decisions. He just has a left hand."
