Dana White has revealed the two things that need to happen for Conor McGregor to get a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The Notorious has not fought in the UFC since losing to the lightweight champion 14 months ago, but is set to fight Donald Cerrone in January.
And the UFC President says if McGregor wins that fight and Nurmagomedov defeats Tony Ferguson later in the year, a rematch between them could be on the cards.
Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, White said: "He's (McGregor) gotta beat Cowboy (Donald) Cerrone, which is a very tough fight, especially at 170, w/o Cowboy having to cut weight.
"Then, Khabib has to beat Tony Ferguson. If both of those things happen, then yeah, I think we can make the rematch."
White's comments come after McGregor appeared to hit out at Nurmagomedov on social media earlier this week.
McGregor appeared to recall a taunt from one of the press conferences ahead of their 2018 fight by posting the phrase 'blue lips'.
Prior to their bout, the Irishman branded his opponent as scared, saying: "You’re dead! I can see blue lips. Blue lips. Blue lips. Breathe kid take a breath.”
Meanwhile, McGregor's decision to fight Cerrone at 170lb has caused confusion and Justin Gaethje, who was also in contention to face McGregor, has hit out.
"I mean, it’s a freak show man, I don’t know what to make of it," he told SiriusXM.
McGregor announced he would be returning to the octagon during a press conference in Russia in October and Cerrone quickly emerged as the frontrunner to face him.
They will clash at UFC 246 which will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
