Conor McGregor UFC news: Colby Covington believes Jorge Masvidal would 'piece up' Notorious

Colby Covington believes Jorge Masvidal would "piece up" Conor McGregor.

'Chaos' thinks the Irishman would be too small to take on his American Top Team teammate.

The Notorious has been linked with fighting Masvidal despite Dana White ruling out a potential bout.

But Covington is adamant his friend would easily beat McGregor.

"He would piece up Conor for sure," Covington told Submission Radio.

"No doubt about it. Conor’s too small. He’s a little guy and you know, this and that."

Speaking on a potential fight with McGregor previously, Masvidal said: "I want McGregor. I want to break his face. I think that's an easy paycheck.

"He's got these cash symbols written all over his face for me.

"I just don't see it going his way if I'm honest with you."

But White is having none of it.

The UFC chief has worked closely with McGregor throughout his rise to prominence in the company and even his venture into the boxing world, and insists that the company will offer Masvidal a fight rather than meet his demands.

"You can't make ultimatums," White said.

"Listen, we're going to offer him a fight, and if he accepts the fight, he does and if he doesn't, he doesn't."
