Conor McGregor's victory against Donald Cerrone last weekend reportedly brought in huge pay-per-view numbers for the UFC.
It is believed that the UFC 246 card brought in the equivalent of 2 million buys.
With rights to UFC action in the United States now held by ESPN+, the metrics for pay-per-views have changed.
However, ESPN combat sports reporter Marc Raimondi shared the estimate of PPV expert Dave Meltzer, who has crunched the numbers.
The UFC do not generally release official numbers for pay-per-view. But if Meltzer's estimation is accurate, it would mean that Saturday night's event was the second-most watched in the history of the fight promotion.
McGregor's UFC 229 defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018 is believed to hold the record as the most-watched card in UFC history.
'The Notorious' has garnered more attention on social media today after tweeting support to US President Donald Trump.
McGregor wrote on Twitter: "Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA GOAT (greatest of all time).
"Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet.
"Early stages of term also. Incredible. Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day America."
Trump responded to the Dubliner after his gushing tribute, tweeting: "Congratulations on your big UFC win."
