Conor McGregor UFC fight news: John Kavanagh hints at Notorious fighting again by saying 'book ain't finished'

Conor McGregor's coach has hinted that the former two-weight champion could fight again.

The Notorious announced his retirement from MMA for the third time in four years last month, but many believe the Dubliner will be be back in the Octagon again.

And John Kavanagh has done little to quell that suggestion with his latest post on Instagram.

Sharing a photo of himself and McGregor from five years ago, Kavanagh commented: "5yrs ago. Book ain't finished."

It comes after Dana White suggested McGregor could fight again next year.

Ahead of UFC 251, White told Colin Cowherd: “As of right now, he’s retired.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he came out and wanted to fight somebody next year after all these different fights play out.”

The UFC President added: “There’s no doubt that Conor McGregor’s one of the best in the world.

“What’s going on with Conor McGregor is what goes on with all professional fighters when they become extremely wealthy and Conor McGregor is rich.

“He gets to pick and choose what he wants to do now and he’s at that point in his career where he’s got a few fights left.”

Kavanagh recently stated that McGregor is retired, but hinted that it may not be forever.

He said: "Is Conor retired? Yes, he is as far as I can tell. That’s what he said, isn’t it?

"“I can’t convince Conor to do s**t. Conor will tell Conor what he’s gonna do.

"And who knows? Who knows what’s gonna happen in the future. But, as for now, he’s retired.”
