Khabib Nurmagomedov 's protege Islam Makhachev has trolled Conor McGregor after the UFC star asked for a title fight with Charles Oliveira.
Oliveira made the first defence of his UFC lightweight title by submitting McGregor's rival Dustin Poirier at UFC 269 last weekend.
McGregor was quick to criticise Poirier for his "embarrassing" performance and also staked his claim for the next shot at Oliveira, tweeting: "So what date am I fighting Oliveira?"
Oliveira then replied to McGregor's request, offering this weekend's UFC event in Las Vegas as a potential fight date.
"What do you think about this weekend? I'm ready, I'm still in town, and there's an upcoming event. Let's go baby," he wrote.

And McGregor replied to Oliveira's tweet by writing: "In Brazil they shouted Uh Vai morrer (You will die) but McGregor is STILL HERE."
No.4 ranked lightweight Makhachev - who fights Beneil Dariush in February - then mocked McGregor for his call-out stating: "Your fight is on February 30".
McGregor would be unable to make Oliveira's offered date as the Irishman is still recovering from the broken tibia he suffered against Poirier in July.
'Do Bronx' would also be unlikely to fight again as he faces a potential medical suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after his recent outing.
After an up-and-down UFC career, Oliveira picked up his 10th straight win last weekend and asserted himself as the best lightweight on the roster.
But now-retired Nurmagomedov explained why he thinks Oliveira is not the best 155-pounder in the UFC, with the Russian giving that accolade to the winner of Makhachev vs Dariush.
Makhachev is currently on a nine-fight winning streak whilst Dariush is unbeaten in his last seven contests.

And Nurmagomedov told ESPN last month: "I believe Islam and Dariush deserve to fight for the title right now.
"They told him that if he gets the finish he'll get a double bonus, which is very interesting, this is private news.
"The UFC really want this fight and they told him that he'd get a double bonus for the finish, I don't know about Dariush's situation.
"I think anybody in the UFC right now, doesn't matter if it's lightweight, light heavyweight, whatever, if you have a nine-fight win streak you have to fight for the title."
Nurmagomedov also claimed the UFC told Makhachev he will receive the next title shot if he defeats Dariush in February.
However, that will likely come after Gaethje faces Oliveira as UFC president Dana White confirmed 'The Highlight' will be next in line for the title.
