Conor McGregor is not the best boxer in the UFC, according to his rival Dustin Poirier.
Poirier's 'best boxer' comments came after Max Holloway's win against Yair Rodriguez last weekend.
Holloway - who lost to Poirier in 2019 - claimed to be the best boxer in the UFC during his win against Calvin Kattar earlier this year.
The Hawaiian broke the record for the most significant strikes landed in a UFC fight against Kattar, at 445.
But Poirier doesn't think McGregor or Holloway are the best pugilists in the UFC, giving interim bantamweight champion Petr Yan that accolade.
"Me and Thiago Alves were just talking about this, I think Petr Yan. Just the way he moves, the way he doesn't waste a lot of movements," he told ' The MMA Hour '.

"His positioning is always really crisp, his footwork, he's never out of position. He doesn't load up but he throws clean power shots.
"Good accuracy, works the body well, goes up, goes down. It's just a lot of things that he does really really well."
McGregor reacted to a fan-made poster last week that ranked him as the third-best boxer in the UFC.
Yan topped the list whilst three of McGregor's former opponents in Holloway, Jose Aldo and Nate Diaz were also included.
And McGregor claimed no one in the UFC comes close to his boxing abilities.
"I outboxed 3 guys on this list! There’s no one even remotely close to my boxing in the ufc. Even Dustin only got shots off post the leg damage," he wrote.
"Everyone has been pucked around by me if we are going off boxing. Yan is good tho, i like his style. I’d rip him up in that shell tho."

Yan won the interim 135-pound title last month at UFC 267 by outpointing top contender Cory Sandhagen.
The Russian lost his undisputed title in March when he was disqualified against Aljamain Sterling after landing an illegal knee in the fourth round.
And he replied to McGregor's comments about "ripping him up".
"Conor, we all know that you like to talk, but let’s get straight to the point if you really want to box or to fight, I don’t care about the weight or the ruleset. I bet you won’t show up." he wrote.
And McGregor replied: "Lol, no prob littler. We will set up a spar or something similar in the near future. Will host you and your team in Ireland for one of our shows at Crumlin boxing club.
"We will figure it out then, kid. God bless ya. Parimatch Global, get this set."
