Conor McGregor told he has been "living without a soul" since Khabib defeat

Conor McGregor has been accused of "living without a soul" after suffering a difficult loss to arch rival Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in 2018.

At the time of their meeting, McGregor was far and away the biggest star in the sport, and had drawn praise for lasting ten rounds with Floyd Mayweather in his boxing debut a year prior. But he was choked out in the fourth round of his clash with the Russian after a year of heated build-up, and has only fought three times in the four years since, losing two and winning one.

And Ali Abdelaziz, who manages a number of the Irishman's greatest rivals including Nurmagomedov, Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, slammed him as a "dumba**" after one of his latest 'tweet-and-delete' sprees. McGregor had gone after Islam Makhachev, the newly-crowned lightweight champion, and even directed an attack at the Egyptian during his outburst.

"You dumb a**," Abdelaziz wrote in a tweet to McGregor, after having had an exchange with him a day prior. "The champ say losers focus on winners stop stealing people shine Khabib take your soul October 6. You are living without a soul." The Dominance MMA boss tagged Alexander Volkanovski, the featherweight champion, who had also been mocked by McGregor.

The pair went back-and-forth when McGregor claimed he had a "system" to defeat Makhachev after watching his dominant victory over Charles Oliveira at UFC 280. He also took aim at Nurmagomedov himself, declaring that he had not completed his father Abdulmanap's plan for his career after retiring at just 29-0.

"Nice fight, nice performance," McGregor wrote in a message directed at Makhachev. "I have built all the tools to beat this style now vs before. Experience vs s***. Face breaking shots from clinch and baby brain batter shots from bottom. And the rest of my repertoire yous know. Steel left leg. Cannon back hand. Wrist control.

"The thought of shutting down this system of fighting with my own developed system is quite intriguing to me. Whoever of them against. It's not personal. It's a skill evaluation and a fight. Even through generations. The IMAAFs, amateurs. A war of attrition. To the box.

"I have the system to hurt this style of fighting guys I am telling you. Bro is a s*** jocks. Fat mouth shut your mouth you done nothing tonight except go against fathers wishes and run. It's not fathers plan completed yet, pal. You know. Your people know and they talk about you."

Abdelaziz hit back by saying: "You are low life s***, stop talking about people family you need a face slap soon, nobody cares about you." McGregor hit back by declaring that he would "squash Abdelaziz's head" and insisting that he is "twice the size" of the ex-fighter.
