Conor McGregor thanks Anderson Silva as UFC legend gives advice after horror leg break

UFC legend Anderson Silva has reached out to Conor McGregor, offering advice after his horror leg break.

McGregor is out of action for the foreseeable future after his gruesome injury forced his bout against Dustin Poirier to be stopped.

And Anderson Silva reached out to McGregor to give him advice as he continues his injury rehab.

Silva is no stranger to leg breaks after he too suffered a gruesome leg break at UFC 168 against Chris Weidman back in 2013 and reached out to McGregor.

He said: "Stay ready to prepare your mind for when you're back, you're back strong, you're back better... prove how much you love your job and how much you can continue to do this then you have the same Anderson, the same Weidman, the same Conor. Mentally it's very important."

And McGregor replied to Silva, saying: " I appreciate this message greatly Anderson, thank you. You know, since this freak injury happened to me, I’ve had very little support from my fellow colleagues.

"In fact quite the exact opposite. The claws came out. But no worries! I love a little scratch from a bitch. See yous when I get ya’s you’s little nobodies!

"Happy “little Saturday” everyone"
