Conor McGregor targets Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch after Donald Cerrone UFC comeback fight

Conor McGregor has challenged his UFC rival Khabib Nurmagomedov to a rematch this year.

The Irishman previously fought undefeated lightweight champion Nurmagomedov in October 2018, losing in the fourth round via a neck crank submission.

McGregor will now face 36-13 veteran Donald Cerrone on January 18 but has already set his sights on a rematch.

“He is trembling,” McGregor told his website The Mac Life.

“That man is trembling. He doesn’t want it. He doesn’t want it. You get it. He’s trying not to lose it again. I just smell sh*t. That’s all it is. He’s afraid, and that’s it.”

McGregor added that UFC president Dana White was in favour of the bout.

“Everyone wants it. The boss wants it. [UFC President] Dana [White] wants it. We all want it. He can run, but he cannot hide. I look forward to it.”
