Conor McGregor takes aim at Justin Gaethje after UFC 291: ‘F*ck Chandler, you want it call for it’

Conor McGregor seemingly has taken a liking to the “BMF” title – and a disliking to its new holder, who was designated at UFC 291.

Following Saturday’s crowning of the second UFC “BMF” champion, Justin Gaethje (25-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC), former UFC champion McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) had plenty to say.

Not long after Dustin Poirier was helped to his feet at Delta Center in Salt Lake City after a vicious Gaethje head kick knockout, McGregor began to tweet.

While McGregor does not currently have a fight on the books, he’s expected to fight Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA, 18-5 UFC) for his next bout. However, McGregor indicated he’s not opposed to a redirection, of course.

Check out what McGregor had to say below:

While McGregor seemed entertained by the prospects of a matchup, the other half of the proposed equation did not.

“I think he’s turned me down six times,” Gaethje said at a post-fight news conference. “Usually, you have to lose to fight him, so I don’t know what’s going on.”
