Conor McGregor has been handed a six-month suspension after breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in their UFC 264 bout.
McGregor has been ruled out until January on medical grounds after the horror leg break.
McGregor was downed during the first round of the Las Vegas showdown after his ankle seemingly snapped from under him while in the heat of battle.
McGregor has gone under the knife and has told fans that he'll be back stronger after successful surgery, opening the door to an incredible fourth fight between the pair.
With McGregor unhappy about the manner of the loss, and Poirier still holding plenty of tension towards the Dubliner, there's no doubt there's an appetite for a fourth bout.
However, with the winner of last weekend's fight initially primed to take on lightweight king Charles Oliveira, Dana White and the UFC may opt to move on and look forward toward's the division's future rather than revisiting the seven-year long feud.
But despite all the speculation around his future, the only certainty is that McGregor faces several weeks on crutches before he can get back on the horse and right the wrongs of UFC 264.
