Conor McGregor shows of ripped physique as he bulks up ahead of UFC return

Conor McGregor has showed off his ripped physique as he continues to make preparations for his fight with Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.

The former two-weight UFC champion will make his long-awaited return to the octagon when he faces Cerrone in Las Vegas in January.

It is set to be the 31-year-old's first fight since his defeat to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.

With his meeting with 'The Cowboy' to take place at welterweight, McGregor is currently in the process of bulking up.

And the Irishman's hard work appears to be paying off as he shared a picture of his transformation on social media alongside the caption: "Who the f**k is that guy?"

'The Notorious' is expected to target fights against Jorge Masvidal and a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov if he gets past Cerrone in Las Vegas.

Although McGregor's upcoming return to the octagon is expected to met with significant scrutiny after 14 months away, Cerrone is expecting the Irishman to be at his best.

“I expect the best Conor you guys have ever seen. I really do,” Cerrrone told  MMA Fighting .

“He has so many doubters and questions that he needs to answer.

"I think he’s training extra hard, he’s coming and I think he’s going to be the best Conor you have ever seen.”

However, Cerrone also insisted he is not there to be a stepping stone for his opponent, with the 36-year-old American strongly .

He added: “There’s a bunch of s**t going around, people keep telling me ‘I heard you’re getting paid to take a dive.’

"There wouldn’t be enough money in the world for someone to pay me to take a dive. I could never look myself in the mirror if somebody paid me to take a dive. S**t, never happen."

“I’d rather fight for free than take money to f*cking lose. That’s not me. I’m going to fight my ass off like I do every time.”
