Dillon Danis has admitted that his "big brother" Conor McGregor has been giving him "tough love" as he works towards a cage comeback.
Danis is one of the most outspoken and polarising figures in mixed martial arts but his absence from the sport means he is known more for his role in McGregor's team.
He is also notable for his outlandish social media presence that has seen him amass over a million followers thanks to call outs of fighters from Jake Paul to UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Danis has been out of the cage for well over two years since making his second outing for Bellator, and says that McGregor's pushing has helped to motivate him for a comeback.
Asked during an appearance on The MMA Hour if McGregor's advice to him constituted "tough love", Danis said that it was, and that it was good for him.
"That's fine, that's good though," Danis replied.

"If you don't have people around you that talk to you like that and motivate you then you don't have the right friends.
"Conor is very motivating and he's going through his own stuff but he always motivates me to come back.
"It does suck, why would I want to be out? I want to fight so bad you have no idea, it f***ing sucks."
Danis insists that Conor is "one of my best friends" and says that the pair talk every day, most recently meeting in New York on the trip where McGregor infamously had an altercation with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

The Irishman was pictured meeting with Danis on his whistle-stop appearance, where he had been asked to present an award at the MTV VMAs.
And it was at that ceremony in Brooklyn where he got into a spat with MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, on the red carpet at the Barclays Center.
McGregor has remained in the headlines as he recovers from a broken leg which he suffered during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July.
The Irishman snapped his tibia against Poirier, and required surgery, which he rehabilitated from during a stay in the Beverley Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
He stayed at the plush California hotel with his fiancee Dee Devlin and children Conor Jr, Rian and Croia, where he was spotted meeting with celebrities like 2Chainz and Justin Bieber.
From there he made brief visits to New York, Chicago and Miami, before moving on to Rome where he christened his son Rian over the weekend.
The Irishman was granted the keys to both Miami and the Vatican during his travels, and also threw the first pitch at a Cubs baseball game when he was in Chicago.
