Conor McGregor is reportedly set to get his wish as UFC bosses plan to set up a trilogy fight between the Dubliner and Dustin Poirier.
McGregor, 32, is keen to face the American for the third time following his second-round TKO defeat at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi last month.
ESPN's Ariel Helwani reports that UFC chiefs are considering staging the third fight between the pair as early as May.
Whether or not the lightweight title will be on the line is 'up in the air', according to Helwani.
McGregor has been enjoying some downtime with his family in Dubai following his defeat to Dustin Poirier.
He posed in the sunshine along with partner Dee Devlin and their two children Conor Junior and Croia on Saturday.
McGregor's defeat to American Poirier was his second in his last three fights in the UFC - but it was still another huge payday for the Crumlin man. And he has been relaxing ever since the fight with his young family.
Meanwhile, UFC commentator Joe Rogan has urged Poirier to move on from McGregor and search for 'great fights' in the lightweight division.
Rogan insists there are far more interesting match-ups to be made in a lightweight division bursting with quality, including a rematch with former interim champion Justin Gaethje.

Recalling Poirier's 2018 victory over Gaethje, the UFC commentator told his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast : "There's great fights for Dustin, right?
"There's the rematch with Justin Gaethje, which was a much closer fight. And that was when Justin Gaethje was fighting in a different way.
"Justin Gaethje was fighting much more reckless. There's the [Michael] Chandler fight, which they're trying to push for right away.
"It's tough to make that argument when you've got Charles Oliveira, who I think is maybe the most talented guy in the division. Charles Oliveira might beat them all."
