The social media team at the Black Forge Inn posted an image of Reid with McGregor's UFC belt, saying: "Thanks for dropping by @tjreid12"

And McGregor sent a message to Reid, commenting underneath saying: "Real recognize real!"

While Reid said: "Thanks for having us"

TJ Reid turns 35 later this year and has not announced if he'll return for another year.

Brian Cody has recently stepped down as Cats boss after his legendary stint winning 11 All-Ireland titles.

Reid himself won seven All-Ireland titles and has been awarded an All Star award on five occasions.

The Kilkenny legend also was named Player of the Year in 2015.
