Conor McGregor has warned Dustin Poirier that three fights against him "for any man is an early grave".
The Dubliner faces Poirier for a third time on July 10 after suffering a shock defeat to the American back in January.
McGregor was knocked out in the second round of the Abu Dhabi bout having previously beaten Porier in 2014.
Trash talk was notably absent in the build-up to the rematch, but McGregor appears to be adapting a different approach to the trilogy bout.
He posted on Twitter: "3 fights against me for any man is an early grave. God bless."
The post came after Poirier hit back at comments made by McGregor two weeks ago after the Notorious said “the first one to shoot is a dusty b****” referring to the Diamond's tactic of shooting for his legs in the second fight.
But Poirier suggested the posts show a sign of insecurity from the supremely confident McGregor.
Speaking to ESPN, Poirier explained: “He just said something, ‘the first one to shoot is a dusty b****’, isn’t he the one that’s always preaching about the flow, the full martial arts, no holds barred, the ultimate fighting.

“How about the first one to get taken down is a dusty b****? This is mixed martial arts, put it all together. It reeks of insecurity.”
McGregor quickly replied on social media, saying: “Best boxer, my a**!” McGregor responded on Twitter. ”Shooting a**, shelling a** b****.
“Quick take for you and your team pal - You got pucked around in the clinch! Elbows, knees, shoulders, fists.
“Looking outside the cage for advice.”
Poirier has indicated that he wants a war in Las Vegas next weekend, adding: “I want a blood and guts war. I want to question my will to fight. I want it to be uncomfortable from the first second of the first round.
“That’s the thing about fighting, the only thing that’s real is when that bell rings. Or whenever you show up and you’re training, that’s the only real part of fighting that I love anymore.
“Everything else is, who can say some cool s*** and get a lot of likes on Instagram, get a lot of followers, who can do some kind of funny video. It’s disgusting, it’s a fashion show, it’s all fake.
“The real part about it, when that bell rings, it’s a hundred percent real. I want to find that out about him, ‘you talk it up, but let’s see who really wants to fight’ because I know I can count on me.”
Meanwhile, McGregor has stated he is "very confident" of avenging his loss to Poirier.
He told Fox Sports: "All the marbles are on the line.
"I'm here training very, very hard. I'm about to go for my second session of the day. I'm in great condition already.
"I beat him [Poirier] in the original bout [in 2014]. I lost in the rematch. And then we've got the trilogy, I've got a few little adjustments to make.
"I feel very, very confident. I'm very focused and driven.
"And I'll go in there and put on one hell of a performance and get it back on July 10th."
