Conor McGregor says that he has mastered 'long days' following his surprising retirement from the UFC last month.
The former two-weight champion announced his decision to walk away from the Octagon on Twitter, his third retirement in four years.
The 31-year-old posted a photo on Instagram yesterday, to show that he is making the most of life away from the fight game.
McGregor captioned the image of himself by simply saying: "Long days, I’ve mastered them."
The Notorious hung up the gloves after his dominating performance against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone in January, when the Irish star stopped the UFC veteran after just 40 seconds of the first round.
Long time coach of McGregor, John Kavanagh was asked about the legitimacy of his number one pupil's retirement recently.
He responded: “Is Conor retired? Yes, he is as far as I can tell. That’s what he said, isn’t it?
“I can’t convince Conor to do s**t. Conor will tell Conor what he’s gonna do.
"And who knows? Who knows what’s gonna happen in the future. But, as for now, he’s retired.”
Kavanagh did also say that McGregor could make a return for the right opponent, and that man might just be interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.

He continued: “I think the Gaethje fight is probably the best fight I could imagine because he has the style that really matches well with Conor.
“Gaethje likes to march forward. He sits down on his shots, he throws heavy shots.
“He doesn’t seem to care about being hit, he likes coming forward.
“Conor’s always done very well as a counter fighter. Although he does walk forward, he responds to people’s attacks very well.
“It was close to being done. It’s kinda sad now that it didn’t happen."
Gaethje is next in line for a title fight with undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, with the clash rumoured to be in September at UFC 253.
With a war of words being exchanged with Gaethje and unfinished business with Khabib, McGregor could have his sights set on whoever walks out of the octagon that night as champion.
