Conor McGregor's reunion with head trainer John Kavanagh will have to be rearranged due to Ireland's new coronavirus restrictions.
The pair were locked in an intensive Los Angeles training camp together for the build-up to McGregor 's trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier this summer, but haven't seen much of one another since the fight.
Kavanagh, who has a son that was set to celebrate his first birthday weeks after UFC 264, returned to Ireland, while the former two-weight world champion stuck around in America to rehab the broken leg he suffered in the fight.
And with both men working intensive schedules, they have been forced to wait for a reunion, which has been pushed back further due to Ireland's new coronavirus restrictions.
They had planned to share a glass of McGregor's Proper 12 whiskey at the UFC star's new Dublin pub The Black Forge, but with closing times set at 8pm, they will have to rearrange their plans.
"I'm just back in Ireland, I was in Miami cornering Frans Mlambo for a great win," Kavanagh explained to Mirror Fighting at a fundraiser for injured MMA fighter Ian Coughlan.
"My head has been down just focusing on [the fundraiser], so I've missed a couple of parties and a couple of get togethers by trying to get all of this put together.
"To be honest this was more important than any toasts, but I have to thank Conor for sending me out a lovely Proper 12 hamper for the house and I may have had a wee tipple.
"Of course I'd love to meet up, but now that we have new restrictions things are changing but maybe he'll swing by the house or I'll go to his and we can come up with a plan for 2022."
Kavanagh and McGregor have worked together since the start of his MMA career, and the pair have stuck together through the highs of his world title wins and the lows of his injuries and losses.
The SBG Ireland supremo has been joined in McGregor's corner by SBG Charlestown owner Owen Roddy, who is McGregor's striking coach.
And Roddy says that while he hasn't seen McGregor in a number of months, they are in contact and preparations will soon begin for a comeback.

"Conor's got a lot of other ventures and he's a very busy man now," Roddy added.
"I talk to him, not too often, through text and stuff like that but when we're so close through camp we take a little break and let him have a rest and chill with his family and enjoy himself.
"He put such hard work in so he needs it, but we text once every so often.
"Our last camp was nine or 10 weeks in total and it was a tough camp, it was just a freak accident unfortunately and it was harsh with training these things happen.
"Conor is in the best hands, doing everything he needs to and not cutting any corners, you can't cut corners coming back from an injury like that.
"But I think he'll be back better than ever."
