Conor McGregor's dad Tony celebrates small Lotto win

Tony McGregor took to social media to celebrate a small win on the Lotto this week.

His son Conor is ranked the world's 53rd highest paid athlete by Forbes, but Tony was still delighted to pocket €83 from two draws - €78 from the Lotto and €5 from the Euromillions.

He posted a photo of his winnings on his Instagram story, with the Simply Red song 'Money's Too Tight (To Mention)' playing in the background.

A clip of Tony complaining about 'coinage' went viral two years ago after he received €17.30 change in coins from purchasing a €2.70 DART ticket with a €20 note.

In a bizarre video, he complained that he had nowhere to put so much coins in his “slim-fit, hand-fitted Hugo Boss suit”.

It prompted someone to set up a GoFundMe account to pay for a Leap Card for the father of three.

Conor donated €5 to the fund, commenting: “F*** sake Da, take me bleedin Lamborghini (lambo) next time!”

Speaking a number of months after the video went viral, the UFC star said: "I'll tell you what I'm thinking. I'm thinking 'Where’s me ma to get that man’s phone out of his bleedin hands?' Somebody get that man's phone off him!"

At least Tony will be able to get a taxi now following his latest win.
