Conor McGregor is back to work preparing for his UFC clash with Dustin Poirier after spending Christmas with his family at home.
The 32-year-old returned to Crumlin Boxing Club, where he trained in his youth, for a sparring session after enjoying the festive period with his loved ones.
Sharing photos of training on Instagram, the Dublin fight ace wrote: "Solid work in the 18oz’rs! Back on the horse!
"Time zone adjusting. Weight scale calculating. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
"No chance! I am preparing a masterpiece!"
The UFC star and his girlfriend Dee Devlin announced on Christmas Eve that they are expecting their third child next year.
And ahead of his return to the octagon, McGregor's striking coach Owen Roddy claims his fighter is in the best shape he has ever been in.
Roddy told The MMA Bash: "I think Poirier's improved an awful lot since that first fight.
"I think Conor has improved, you know, more, since then as well.
"They're definitely better fighters than they were when they fought each other but Conor is still the better fighter. I just think he's too precise.
"Poirier is skillful, he's got good hands and he's tough and durable, and he sets a good pace but I just don't see where he beats Conor
"Conor's just too good everywhere, too precise, and too clinical with his striking."
