Conor McGregor has the likes of Anthony Joshua and Jennifer Lopez in his rear-view mirror in the latest celebrity rich list.
The UFC star is said to have earned €40.6 million in 2020 from a single fight and endorsements, according to Forbes Magazine.
McGregor, 32, pocketed a cool €25 million for the 48 seconds it took him to beat Donald Cerrone in a Las Vegas fight in January.
But despite claiming to have retired from fighting in June, the Crumlin man has continued to roll in the money from sponsorships.
Along with a deal with Reebok reported to be worth close to €5 million, McGregor also has lucrative contracts with Beats Electronics, Burger King, Monster Energy and Budweiser.
It all puts him in 53rd place in the Forbes rankings, not far behind the likes of TV star “Judge Judy” Sheindlin, musician Drake, and reality star Kim Kardashian West.
McGregor himself claimed on social twitter he would be in the top spot, occupied by Kylie Jenner (€499 million), if the rankings factored in his profits from his Proper No. Twelve whiskey business.
Just ahead of McGregor on the list is Rory McIlroy, who celebrated the birth of his first child this week.
The Holywood man is said to have earned €44 million in 2020 with only Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson earning more than him off the course.
McIlroy, 31, spends most of the year living in Florida and earned €25 million in endorsements, plenty enough to pay for nappies.
