Conor McGregor puts the Bottle Cap challenge out to Floyd Mayweather

Conor McGregor has challenged Floyd Mayweather once again - but this time it's not to a fight.

McGregor took part in the Bottle Cap Challenge, where the object is to remove the cap from a bottle with a roundhouse kick - and who better than the MMA superstar to give it a go?

Current UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway was among the first to give it a go while Jason Statham also got involved.

And McGregor, decked out in his finest Crumlin Boxing Club gear, couldn't resist taking part, successfully unscrewing the cap with a spinning kick.

Then, after celebrating with his own Proper 12 whiskey, he tweeted: "Excellent job Jason Statham, I tip my cap to you. I’ll take it from here. I nominate Floyd Mayweather."

The boxing legend, giving his lack of kicking ability, is unlikely to take McGregor up on his offer.

Mayweather stopped in the Irishman in the 10th round of their fight - McGregor's debut - in Las Vegas in 2017.

It was the second richest fight in history and saw Mayweather retire for a second time.
