Conor McGregor provides update on his future after Donald Cerrone KO

Conor McGregor will thrash out his future this week over a glass of his own whiskey.

The former two-weight world champion made a stunning return to the UFC after a 15-month hiatus with a 40-second KO of Donald Cerrone.

Before the fight McGregor had vowed to fight three times this year with a rematch against Khabib Nurmagomedov top of this list.

And after his rapid stoppage, the Irishman said: "I don’t think the who matters, the lightweight title will always be there.

"You see the difference in the physique and the preparation [at welterweight], that will come back around that shot.

"I’m not going to sit and wait, the who doesn’t matter, I’m looking at dates now.

"I know March is there, Lorenzo Fertitta is back on Tuesday so I’ll stay here and go for dinner and a toast with Lorenzo and Dana and chat about it then.

"I’ll have a celebration tonight, chill with the kids tomorrow then it’s back to training."

McGregor is also interested in fights against welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and BMF title holder Jorge Masvidal.

He would also entertain boxing fights against Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

But his preference is to fight Nurmagomedov for a second time in a bid to avenge his loss 15 months ago.

The Russian has since choked out Dustin Poirier and is scheduled to defend his belt against Tony Ferguson in April.

"There is a lot of money in Russia, I love the Russian people. I went to Moscow recently, they are so passionate about the sport and about myself," he added.

"What a place, it would be like something out of the Rocky movie, I am very eager to do that.

"I want to create spectacles for people."
