Conor McGregor offers Manchester United opinion on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is the latest to offer his opinion on Manchester United's current situation, suggesting that the club should move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pressure upon the Norwegian boss has increased significantly following a disastrous 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United did consider making a change this week but Solskjaer took training on Tuesday and looks set to remain at the helm for this weekend's clash with Tottenham.

However, many believe that a change is required imminently and McGregor has added his name to the growing list of those calling for change.

"The issue at United is it’s just bunch of youngfellas [sic] talking to each other. Peers. You need some one above the group chat to take the helm," he posted on Twitter.

"Ole was on the bench when Ronaldo played. A peer. Not enough. Love and respect Ole to the max but his role needs rearranged. My opinion."

McGregor has previously spoken about his support of United, telling FIFA.com in 2019 about his adoration of compatriot Roy Keane and his love of the team.

"I was attracted to the success and winning mentality of the club and people surrounded by United. Irish legends like Denis Irwin and Roy Keane were dedicated to their craft and had that winning mentality.

"Roy Keane was one of the best midfielders European football has ever seen. Opponents would be mentally beaten before they’d even stepped on to the pitch to face him.

“Then they had the don of football at the helm, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson. To have that much success over such a long period is remarkable and something I continue to aspire to."
