Conor McGregor has been nicknamed "McJacked" by fans on social media after appearing to be in brilliant shape during a recent training picture.
The former two-weight UFC world champion is expected to return to the octagon later this year after breaking his leg last summer, and is preparing for a weight cut back to 155lb. He has vowed to fight for the world title once again, despite losing his last two fights, and has remained in solid condition despite his severe injury.
And fans were amazed by new photos and video showing the Irishman in training for his comeback, where he looks to be in tremendous shape on the comeback trail. He posted a series of pictures, as well as a "Proper 12 challenge" video to his Instagram page, garnering hundreds of thousands of likes.
One said in the comments section that he should be known from now on as "McJacked", while another added that McGregor "looks like he'd tear up the light-heavyweight division". The Irishman is known for his title wins at featherweight or lightweight, but one fan said he could be "heavyweight champ" in his current shape.
"If you keep getting bigger you might be at heavyweight," another said, while one raised concerns for his ability to get down to his old weight for a summer fight date. "This dude definitely isn't making 155lb any time soon," the fan remarked.
It remains to be seen when McGregor will return to action, but he is expected to be back sparring next month and has said that he will assess his position then. He recently declared that his comeback was "back on schedule", although it is unknown exactly when it went off.

"Soon, it's getting there," McGregor replied when asked last month by Mirror Fighting when he would be returning to the cage. "April I should be back sparring," he continued. "I'll gauge it all then - I'd like a title, a title, I'd feel a belt.
"We'll see what happens with the weight, I'm feeling nice and strong, I'm getting there day-by-day - I'm only 33 years of age, I'm unscathed, never been bust up in the face, never scratched in the face so I'll be back.
"I'm advised to take it easy, but I'm shadow boxing a lot and I'm figuring out what way I'm developing a style."
No opponent has been confirmed for McGregor's return, but he is angling for a fight with the winner of Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje's fight at UFC 274 in May. He has said that he could return in July on International Fight Week at the beginning on July.
