Conor McGregor news: UFC star shares home workout tips with bicep pull-up routine

Conor McGregor has continued his activity on social media with the country largely shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A number of athletes have been sharing home workout tips with followers online and the UFC star, 31, is the latest to give exercise tips.

In a series of videos posted on Instagram, the Dubliner showed off his bicep pull-up technique.

"When I go down I want to emphasise elbows, I almost want to touch elbows and I also want to extend the arm fully and as you come in bring the elbows in, almost touching each other," he said.

"What it does is slow down the motion, and it build the inner part here (chest) incredibly and if you mimic a fight, with your two hands here tucking in here, everything is so tight and so solid.

"Even if a shot does get through it's like hitting a brick wall. So if you get the strength going through the mid back and the mid chest, you can even see through this big baggy jumper, the pecks are bleedin' solid!"

Boxing star Katie Taylor has also been posting workout tips in recent days from her Connecticut base, sharing a number of circuit routines.

McGregor told fans that he would be taking on the routines himself, saying: "Champion! Thank you Katie, going to give this a go tonight! #StayActive "

'The Notorious' has been busy sharing his own tips with the government on recent weeks on how he feels the coronavirus pandemic should be dealt with.

His posts included an address to the nation-style speech and a conversation with Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe on Twitter.
