Conor McGregor News: Pedro Carvalho hoping to draft Notorious into his camp for Bellator Featherweight title fight

Conor McGregor could be drafted in to the camp of another Featherweight title contender next year, if he's not too busy.

The Notorious famously defeated Jose Aldo to win the UFC Featherweight title in December 2015, and now it's his teammate Pedro Carvalho's chance in Bellator when he fights Patricio 'Pitbull' Freire in the Quarter-Finals of the Featherweight Grand Prix.

Speaking exclusively with Irish Mirror, Carvalho said: "If I had the chance to get the help from Conor that would be massive.

"But everybody knows how busy the man is so I'm not sure if it will happen.

"I have some great training partners, sparring partners, the likes of Artem Lobov and Peter Queally are my main partners.

"They always bring a war and bring the best out of me in training, but if I can have Conor in my camp that would be incredible.

"SBG is the best team in the world because you have the best guys in the world helping you 365 days of the year.

"You see all these big name gyms but you'll only have big names to train with when the stars are in camp, otherwise it's like a dessert, there's nobody.

"What we have in SBG is consistency, you have people to spar and all of that and the experience of people like Peter and Artem who were there when Conor was winning his belts, they've been in championship camps."

McGregor is currently in training for a UFC comeback, though there is no confirmed date or opponent as yet.
