UFC hero Conor McGregor is no stranger to a bold proclamation but his claim that he's held talks over buying Celtic take some beating.
The Irishman is a high-profile fan of the club and is good mates with Kieran Tierney.
And he's declared he wants to take over the Premiership club.
McGregor claimed on Twitter: "A conversation came up regarding Celtic first to be honest. To acquire shares from Dermot Desmond.
"I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage! Both Celtic and Man United are teams I like for sure."

It's not clear how many shares the discussion involved, with Desmond holding just under 20 per cent of shares.
With a current share price of £1.28 the club is valued at around £120million on the stock market.
Is that the kind of money McGregor could come up with if he was serious about taking over?
The Irishman banked around £61million from his mega-money fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2017.
In addition there was another £10m in sponsorship from that Las Vegas bout.
He's one of the most bankable UFC stars and has made £12.4m in prize money alone, not including pay-per-view revenues.
McGregor also sold a stake in the Irish whisky brand, Proper No.12 - with the deal said to be worth around $600m in total - and has endorsement deals with Beats by Dre, Monster Energy, EA, Burger King and Reebok.
His net worth stands at an estimated £181m, though in terms of cash on hand it's unlikely he could stump up the money to buy Celtic.
Desmond has a net worth of around £2.2bn and while the Parkhead club looks to run sustainably those are the kind of deep pockets needed at a big club.
However, it's possible that McGregor's A-list appeal could attract other investors on board.
However, the current largest shareholder stated back in March that he would not consider selling any of his stake.
Desmond insisted: "This is a contemptible suggestion. I am as passionate about Celtic as any other supporter. My shares are not for sale."
It's possible McGregor could look to acquire a stake of his own in the club, but seeing the fighting champion as owner is extremely unlikely.
