Conor McGregor mocked during 'heroic psychopath' sketch on Saturday Night Live

Conor McGregor has been roasted by a world famous US comedy sketch show.

The Saturday Night Live crew's sketch about 'heroic psychopaths' aired over the weekend and featured the fighter.

The Dubliner recently found himself in the headlines for an alleged assault on an Italian DJ.

McGregor is alleged to have punched Francesco Facchinetti when the pair partied together in Rome earlier in October.

It was around 2.30am when Mr Facchinetti said things took a turn for the worst as McGregor struck him in the mouth "without motivation".

And Mr Facchinetti now claims video footage of the alleged incident that will put McGregor's fighting future in question.

The Saturday Night Live crew, famed for their sketches, took aim at the MMA fighter on Saturday during a segment that mocked Ellen DeGeneres's talk show.

'Mellen' saw a male version of DeGeneres (played by Jason Sudeikis) interviewing a wide array of parodied celebrities.

One of these saw an impersonation of the Irishman being asked why he punches random people in the face.

The impersonator then leaps into the audience to fight a member of the crowd who challenged him to a fight.

Meanwhile, a man punched by McGregor in a Dublin pub says he’ll never again set foot in the place - now that the UFC star has bought it.

McGregor punched innocent Dubliner Desmond Keogh, 50, in a now-infamous incident caught on tape at the Marble Arch pub in April 2019.
