Conor McGregor makes joke about Twitter as Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp suffer outage

Conor McGregor was quick to make a joke about the social media blackout as Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp all unexpectedly suffered a major outage.

The three leading social media sites unexpectedly stopped working early Monday evening with many flocking to Twitter during the outage.

And one of those was popular UFC star Conor McGregor.

McGregor has a strong social media following and made sure to make a quick quip about the outage.

Using his famous catch line 'baby we did it', McGregor congratulated Twitter.

He said: "Twitter baby, we did it!"

McGregor is currently over in the United States as he recovers from his horror leg break.

The Dubliner suffered a second defeat at the hands of old foe Dustin Poirier in July.

And the two-weight UFC Champion found himself with a broken leg that is set to keep him out of action until the middle of 2022.
