Conor McGregor lined up for 'dream' fight against UFC legend Diego Sanchez

UFC veteran Diego Sanchez wants to end his career against Conor McGregor in a 'dream' fight.

The American has enjoyed a storied UFC career spanning over 15 years and 31 fights, and as he heads towards the twilight of his career, he's lining up some big fights to go out with a bang.

One of those included a returning Nick Diaz, who Sanchez defeated in his second bout with the promotion.

But with four fights remaining on his contract ahead of his UFC 253 fight with Jake Matthews this Saturday, the first-ever The Ultimate Fighter champ wants a shot at the biggest name for his retirement.

Despite the Notorious one's retirement earlier this year, Sanchez claims that he'll wait around if the former two-weight world champ changes his mind.

"I'm looking for some legend fights," the 38-year-old said at the UFC 253 press conference today.

"Nick Diaz is coming back and there's some other big names - Nate Diaz - there's a lot of big fights that would be appealing for the fans.

"I said I shoot for the moon, Conor McGregor is the number four fight.

"I envision myself dominating these next three fights and finishing my career with Conor McGregor - that's my dream.

"I'll be here waiting if he wants to do it at the end of the road."
