Conor McGregor hits back at steroid accusation as he slams Joe Rogan

Conor McGregor has once again taken aim at Joe Rogan in a now-deleted post slamming the UFC commentator for claiming that his urine would "melt the cup" in a drugs test.

The Notorious is currently out of the USADA testing pool, in which fighters are randomly checked for the use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs. But McGregor claims that he will need just two tests from February, as opposed to the six months generally needed back in the pool, before he can fight again.

However, Rogan isn't so sure, and joked that if the former two-weight champion was to be tested by USADA right now after bulking up around 40lb from his last fight weight that he would "melt the cup" with his urine. Fighters under the USADA programme are required to make their whereabouts known on a constant basis, and they must accept urine or blood tests whenever approached by a tester, reports Mirror Fighting.

“He’s taking his shirt off and posing constantly, and he looks like his p*** would melt that USADA cup,” Rogan said during a recent episode of his podcast, where he was joined by the star of More Plates, More Dates Derek, who recently exposed the steroid use of social media influencer the Liver King.

“Like, it would just like burn a hole right through the bottom of that USADA cup, like it would just burn a hole in that USADA cup - the weird thing is that there is a loophole in USADA that allows you to get out of the testing pool. Get out of the testing pool, you can just juice up. Seems weird, and you just need six months. If someone had an injury, though, that’s a very wise way to approach it.”

McGregor hit back by sharing a pair of photos showing Rogan at age 25 and a few years ago at 52, in which the comedian looks to be in tremendous shape for his age. He captioned that post: "Joe looks like his p*** melts his knickers, in the company that long and never took a fight hahaha UFC, oh tae kwon do competition, call the cops hahahahaah." He quickly deleted the tweet.

The Dubliner has been upset with Rogan for the past few weeks, and took issue with his commentary of the 2018 bout between he and Khabib Nurmagomedov upon a recent rewatch. During the bout, McGregor hit his rival with a knee while the pair were grappling on the ground, which the commentator noted was an illegal blow.

McGregor called Rogan a "boondock head" before sending a voice message where he impersonated Rogan's commentary in an outlandish American accent and said: "Shut up Joe you little fool, you. What are you talking about 'smash this and smash that'? What was smashed? My knee into his f***ing eye socket, yeah - f***ing thick, you." The tweets to Rogan were deleted shortly thereafter.
