Conor McGregor helps deliver latest batch of PPE he paid for to Irish hospitals

Conor McGregor personally helped to deliver his latest batch of PPE to Irish hospitals on Wednesday.

The Notorious put in a shift as a total of 18,000 gowns, 30,000 masks, 30,000 visors and 120,000 gloves paid for by him were delivered around the country.

The UFC star could be seen pushing a trolley of equipment and speaking to medical staff in photos posted online.

McGregor said on Twitter: "28 counties. 165 locations. 18 vans. A real solid day for the team! Tomorrow we go again. Thank you all involved!"

Last month, McGregor personally delivered medical supplies to Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin. The UFC star has donated over €1million worth of equipment since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Meanwhile, the Dubliner has sent a message of support to Khabib Nurmagomedov's father as he battles a serious illness in Russia.

McGregor has been involved with a long running feud with the UFC lightweight champion, who he lost to in 2018, but put their rivalry aside to send well wishes to his dad Abdulmanap.

He posted on Twitter: "Praying for the recovery of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. A man responsible for more World champions, across multiple fighting disciplines, than we even know.

"A true martial genius!

"Very saddened upon hearing this news tonight.

"Praying for the Nurmagomedov family at this time."

Abdulmanap was hospitalised more than two weeks ago in Dagestan after being diagnosed with pneumonia and flu-like symptoms. He has tested negative for coronavirus.

It is understood he has been transported to a medical facility in Moscow.
