Conor McGregor has praised Donald Trump as a "phenomenal President" in a gushing post on social media.
UFC superstar McGregor is fresh off his devastating 40 second victory over Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone on Saturday night, and the Crumlin man has now shared a glowing tribute to controversial US President Trump, congratulating him on his "incredible" term in office.
He also wished his American fans a happy Martin Luther King day as they celebrate the famous civil rights activist.
McGregor wrote on Twitter: "Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA GOAT (greatest of all time).
"Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet.
"Early stages of term also. Incredible. Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day America."
It comes after McGregor hailed his mother Margaret as "the strongest woman I know" after she couldn't make it to his win over Donald Cerrone.
The 31-year-old was embraced by his family and friends in the octagon after his crushing defeat of Cerrone in Las Vegas.
Notable in her absence though was Margaret McGregor and speaking in the dressing room after the fight, an emotional Conor said she was unable to travel with the rest of the family.
He said: "My mother is the strongest woman I know and I love her dearly.
"She stayed at home, she couldn't make the fight this time. I love my mother dearly, the strongest woman I know."
