Conor McGregor forked out almost €2million for Dublin pub as details emerge

Conor McGregor forked out almost €2million for the Black Forge pub in his native Crumlin, it has emerged.

Auctioneer Lisney/Morrissey reveals the exact amount – €1.9million – in its licensed premises report for 2020.

UFC fighter McGregor has spent another €1million renovating the Dublin premises into a gastro pub. According to the auctioneers’ report the price paid by the 33-year-old may be “slightly out of tone with pricing in the Drimnah/Crumlin area”.

But it said it reflects “the property’s worth to the individual purchaser” who due to their fame and connection to the area will expect to achieve trading levels in excess of general licensed premises”.

McGregor, whose fiancee Dee Devlin is expecting their third child, still pays occasional visits to the bar which remains shut during restrictions.

Signage promotes his Proper 12 brand of whiskey and the site features the Bentley Room for private functions.

The athlete, who is worth more than €100million, also sponsors the Black Forge football team.

Earlier this week he teased WWE fans he could be set to appear at Wrestlemania 37 in April after answering a cryptic tweet from Finn Balor.
