Conor McGregor fight: Notorious will be forced to quarantine for 48 hours ahead of Dustin Poirier bout

Conor McGregor will be forced to quarantine for 48 hours ahead of his fight with Dustin Poirier.

The Notorious is currently preparing for the bout in Dubai, but will have to isolate for two full days when he enters Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, where the fight takes place.

McGregor revealed that he will train for two days in a hotel room while he isolates ahead of the UFC 257 main event, which takes place in the early hours of January 24.

The Dubliner told The Mac Life: "There's more amenities available to us here in Dubai rather than going straight to Fight Island.

"We've a couple more days here in Dubai and then we go Abu Dhabi, Fight Island.

"We've got 48 hours of quarantine, which is self isolation in a hotel.

"I'm looking to get a heavy bag hung in the suite. I'm looking to also get a free bag just dropped on the floor so I can do some ground and pound work. I'll get my two days training in isolated.

"I'm excited about it. I'm excited to see Abu Dhabi. I've been blown away by Dubai. The place is beautiful. The people are amazing and I'm very excited to get to Abu Dhabi."
