Conor McGregor fight 'not as exciting' for Jake Paul after Dubliner's defeat to Dustin Poirier

Jake Paul has claimed a fight against Conor McGregor is 'not as exciting' for him as it once was following the Dubliner's defeat to Dustin Poirier.

McGregor suffered a shock loss to Poirier at UFC 257 last month when he was knocked out in the second round of their Fight Island bout.

Youtuber Paul has called out the former two-weight champion on numerous occasions in recent months, but is no longer chasing a fight with him.

He told The Sun: "Conor McGregor was at the top of that list at one point, but due to his recent losses he’s just not as exciting.

"You know, we'll see what happens, he can't even win at his own sport so it doesn't really make sense for him to come over into boxing."

McGregor is preparing to face Poirier in a trilogy bout this summer and does not appear interested in fighting Paul.

Speaking prior to last month's bout, McGregor said: “We’ll see what happens. … He seems like a confused little kid to me, to be honest.

“I don’t know what’ll happen. It’s not on the radar at the minute with the young lad. I know, I have a teammate Dylan — him and Dylan have been back-and-forth, so you never know.”
