Conor McGregor has responded to claims Floyd Mayweather has earned three times as much money by claiming the undefeated American earns 'nothing' outside the ring.
The Irishman lost to Mayweather on his professional debut in 2017 when he was stopped in the 10th round.
He has since been linked with a return to the boxing ring but defeat by Dustin Poirier earlier this year saw him miss out on a lucrative bout with Manny Pacquiao.
And McGregor has responded to a fan on Twitter, who claimed Mayweather was far wealthier than the former two-weight UFC champion.
"Lol no he doesn’t you silly fool. He doesn’t make a dime outside of the ring." McGregor posted on social media.

As he recovers from the broken leg he suffered against Poirier last month, McGregor has engaged in lots of social media spats in recent weeks including tweets appearing to mock rival Khabib Nurmagomedov's late father in addition to threatening to 'eat his children'.
Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor in their explosive super-fight back in 2018, where he submitted his opponent with a lethal choke hold that he believes 'could have killed' his rival.
And the Russian has since responded to the tweets aimed at his family, stating that McGregor is 'dirty' and questioning if he is a 'normal human'.
“When he talked about this, only evil can talk about your father, wife, kids, religion,” Nurmagomedov said on Mike Tyson's Hotboxin' podcast.
“If you’re normal human, you’re never going to talk about this stuff. For me, I think he post this tweet (while) drunk too much or (he was doing) something.

"Then the next day, he always delete these tweets. When he become normal life (he looks at his phone) and says, ‘Oh, look what I did.’ Then he delete. This is my opinion what he do all the time.
“When someone is not with us – he is not even alive – this shows what you have inside. This shows how dirty you are.
"When you one of the best in the world and you come and you punch someone who is like 70 years old, like an old man (in a pub), this shows your heart. This shows who you are inside, how dirty you are.
"When you have parents and you have kids, how can you show yourself like this? I don’t understand why his close people don’t go, ‘Hey, what’s going on?"
Despite having unfinished business in the UFC, McGregor is keen to return to the ring in the near future, and has called for a training session with a former opponent of Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez due to his relationship with Eddy Reynoso.
His previous fight plans with Pacquiao now seem to be fading as the Filipino's conditioning coach claimed that the Irishman 'doesn't deserve' a fight with the legendary fighter.
