Conor McGregor could get a Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch in the autumn, says Dana White

UFC chief Dana White has claimed that Conor McGregor could get a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov in the autumn.

The bitter rivals battled it out in the octagon in October 2018 with the undefeated Russian submitting the Crumlin man in a dominant display.

But rumours have been rife ever since over a potential rematch and White says it will likely take place before the end of the year.

“Khabib and Tony will fight in Brooklyn, and Conor will probably fight the winner,” White said on The Will Cain Show on ESPN.

“Conor’s talking about not wanting to wait that long, I don’t know what else makes sense.

“But who knows with that kid.

“The reason everybody loves him so much is because he could say, ‘You know what, I want to fight this guy now,’ some other weight class or whatever.

“But he keeps it fun.”

“Khabib will sit out after [Ramadan],” White continued.

“So, you would be talking about the fall, (in) September, October, November (for a rematch).”

It come as McGregor looked in tip-top shape as he strutted his stuff at Muscle Beach in California.

He has stayed on the east coast of America after his 40-second demolition of Donald Cerrone in Las Vegas last month.

And the 31-year-old certainly seems to be living to his word that he would go straight back into training after beating the UFC veteran.

McGregor used the facilities at the famous beach spot to do some pull-ups and hit the punching bag.
