Conor McGregor cooking Irish stews and training in UFC Dubai gym ahead of Dustin Poirier showdown

Conor McGregor is enjoying his home comforts while he rolls up his sleeves to prepare for a trilogy showdown with Dustin Poirier.

The Dubliner was knocked out by the American at UFC 257 in January in Abu Dhabi, and after enjoying some down time with Dee Devlin and his family, is still in the UAE preparing for the rematch.

Opting for the Middle East over Ireland's East, the former UFC two weight champ looks set to finish up his camp for the July fight with Poirier in Dubai, before flying out to Las Vegas for the bout.

McGregor has repeatedly shared training clips from the UFC's state of the art gym in Dubai as he keeps in top shape for the July 10 trilogy fight, with the winner set to take on newly crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

This isn't the first time McGregor opted to do a training camp on foreign shores, in later 2020 he and his team flew out to Portugal for a number of weeks to prepare for the Poirier fight before returning to celebrate Christmas with his family.

And McGregor is doing his best to create some home comforts thousands of kilometres away from Ireland as he took to social media to show off his home cooked Irish stew.

Taking to Instagram, McGregor boasted about even sourcing some Kerry Gold butter for the stew as his fiancee Dee Devlin responded: "Thanks Daddy, its looking delicious!".
