Conor McGregor has moved to temporarily close down his Straight Blast Gym amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The UFC star opened up the facility in Naas, Kildare with his SBG teammate Peter Queally, but the pair have decided to shut up shop to combat the virus.
Queally announced the closure on Instagram, writing: "Dear SBG Naas members, we have made the decision that the right thing to do at this time is to pause all memberships.
"Your payments are now frozen and your payment cycle won’t resume until we reopen.
"We will keep you updated on when classes can resume.
"For now, just stay safe and positive, everyone is under a lot of pressure at the moment.
"We are in the process of organising some free open air group training sessions for members, that stay in line with social distancing policies.
"Once we have these in place, we will announce times and location etc.
"If we all help each other we will get out the other side of this absolutely fine!"
The latest figures show that there have been 169 cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland with two people dead from the virus.
These numbers are expected to rocket in the coming days as GPs get better access to tests and the threshold for testing drops.
