Conor McGregor claims Michael Bisping 'ran' from confrontation in latest deleted tweet

Michael Bisping and Conor McGregor's bitter war of words raged on last night, with the Irishman taking aim at his British rival in a number of now-deleted tweets.

The two former UFC champions have been going back-and-forth over the last few days after McGregor made the claim that he was making a commission off of Bisping's last few fights.

And after Bisping joked with fans that the Irishman's legacy was going away "faster than his tweets", McGregor fired back with some aggressive posts, which have since been taken down.

"It’s ok mate," Bisping told a fan who insulted McGregor for talking badly about the Manchester native. "That seems to be the general consensus these days.

"Don’t know what’s getting deleted quicker. His tweets or his legacy."

This enraged McGregor, who replied with a photo of Bisping boarding a commercial plane with the caption “The only legacy I give a f*** about is the Legacy 5000 my mother flies around on.”

Bisping hit back by saying that “Money doesn’t make you a man little guy."

"Besides, even if you stood on your wallet I’d still be a bigger man than you," he added.

McGregor's next reply was even more unhinged, hitting back with another quickly deleted tweet saying that Bisping had run away from Manchester after an unnamed sinister group showed up at his mother's door.

“Oh you a big man are ya bro?" McGregor tweeted and quickly deleted.

"Ahahah a real man wouldn’t sprint from his hometown after they come knocking on his mother’s door bro. Don’t forget that one big man in the U.S.

"Crunch time and you dipped. Conor replied.”

“Knock knock, who’s there. Not Mike anyway he’s just done the back wall hahahahah," McGregor continued.

The former middleweight champion appeared to get the last word in, telling McGregor "I'm not your bro" after the Irishman had deleted his previous correspondence.

Bisping was one of many victims of McGregor's earlier 'tweet and delete' tirades, receiving an angry tweet in which the Irishman joked about making money from his fights.

“Bisping is a nobody on Sirius XM,” wrote McGregor in the now-deleted tweet. “Rushed back to competition after being dropped/strangled and then gets shotgun slept by Gastelum’s left hand. Devastating.

"Even though I collect commission on all his fights, I still said to the team to pull the Gastelum fight. I knew it was coming.”

McGregor, who is a member of the Paradigm Sports management roster with Bisping, added to that in a tweet which is still public, saying that he was happy to receive that commission every time the Brit fought.

"But hey, 100k! 50k off the top of each fight," McGregor continued. "I used to say 'yoink' every time it hit the account."

Bisping and McGregor are both former world champions in the UFC, with the Irishman having won the featherweight and lightweight titles simultaneously between 2015 and 2016.

And Bisping won his middleweight belt at UFC 199 in 2016, making history as the first and to this date only British UFC champion.
