Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious called a 'jealous prostitute' by Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager

Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager has labelled Conor McGregor a "jealous prostitute".

Ali Abdelaziz took issue with McGregor's comments on Nurmagomedov ruling himself out of his UFC 249 fight with Tony Ferguson due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Abdelaziz told TMZ Sports: “You’re [McGregor] telling everybody to stay home, now Khabib, the government of Russia says he can’t travel, you’re going to call him a chicken? (Conor) doesn’t matter.

"[Conor is not] No. 1, he's not No. 2, he's not No. 3. It's Khabib, Justin, Tony. He's No. 4. He's not even in the conversation right now. He's just like a jealous prostitute, she's got too old for her to make money."

Abdelaziz also echoed the lightweight champion's comments calling McGregor "fake".

He added: “It’s crazy because this guy has been telling people to stay home, don’t come outside, he’s donating millions of dollars, which now we know this s*** is all fake."

Meanwhile, McGregor may have to wait until next year to get another shot for the UFC lightweight title.

The Dubliner had hoped to face the winner of Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson later this year, but that fight has now been scrapped at UFC 249 with Ferguson facing Justin Gaethje for the interim 155lb belt instead.

The winner is likely to take on Nurmagomedov in September, leaving McGregor's hopes of avenging his 2018 defeat by the champion in limbo.

McGregor was last in action in January when he stopped Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds and had held talks over a summer clash with Gaethje, but that fight is now redundant.

"Everyone felt that if Conor was going to get a shot at Khabib that Gaethje should get it before Conor," UFC president Dana White told ESPN.

"It couldn't have worked out any better, it's the fight that makes sense between two of the best guys in the world.

"Khabib is out so the winner will get a shot at him.

"Conor really wants that rematch with Khabib but Khabib and either Tony or Gaethje won't fight until September.

"Nobody saw this coming, it's something you couldn't have predicted but we'll get it figured out."
