Conor McGregor has hit out at Daniel Cormier's professionalism before the Dubliner's UFC 264 main event bout with Dustin Poirier.
McGregor was defeated by Poirier in their trilogy fight last month as he was unable to continue after the first round when he broke his left tibia.
The former two-weight champion has been very active on social media since his loss to Poirier. He seemingly mocked the death of Khabib Nurmagomedov's father, Abdulmanap, which prompted Khabib's teammate Cormier to condemn McGregor's actions.
The Notorious has taken shots at Cormier since, labelling him a "fat drunk f***" and criticising his commentary skills, reports The Mirror.
And in his latest tweet and delete spree, McGregor said it was a "sackable offense" for Cormier to be drunk at his media appearance following the UFC 264 weigh-ins.
"Daniel Cormier is a fat mess. Getting into worse condition by the day. God bless him. Showing up drunk at media events the very day before he was in the booth calling my fight," McGregor wrote.
"Drunk at a media event working? The day before being a commentator on the biggest fight in history?
"It is a sackable offense for a commentator to be drunk at press work the day before commentating the big fight. Dreadful! Get it together. Belching in the mic at a press event and an all wtf. The day before commenting the big fight? Is this guy serious? Disgraceful."
Cormier's co-host of the weigh-in show, Laura Sanko, came to his defence and stated Cormier wasn't drunk but was simply joking around.
"I can assure everyone he wasn’t actually drunk. DC is a funny guy and he was having fun. He’s twice my size, we drank the same amount just as fast (well, almost lol) and I was fine. He was joking around. He’s a true professional on all levels," Sanko wrote.
McGregor's tirade against Cormier didn't end there. He criticised Cormier's weight and "way of life", also congratulating Jon Jones for his KO win against Cormier back in 2017.
"Your back situations just mental too. Your weight and way of life is abysmal. And now drunk at work the day before you commentate a McGregor event? Pitiful," he continued.
"Congrats Jon on his head kick KO anniversary over you. Good always defeats evil? Wasn’t sure you were evil. Fakes."
It's clear that Cormier, who retired from fighting after his decision loss to Stipe Miocic last August, is not interested in a feud with McGregor and instead wants him to seek help for his actions.
"[Conor] we can’t fight, it’s all just talk so stop! Thank you for watching! Get help. Win a fight," he replied.
