Conor McGregor brands rival Khabib Nurmagomedov a "fat b**** with t**s"

Conor McGregor has taken aim at Khabib Nurmagomedov in a new tweet, mocking his rival for gaining weight during his MMA retirement over the past few years.

The Irishman has had a years-long feud with Nurmagomedov dating back before their fight in 2018, which the Russian won by submission in the fourth round, and the pair's relationship has never recovered. And both men are never shy to take shots at the other when they get the chance, with McGregor throwing the latest blow yesterday.

McGregor was discussing Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis' winner take all purse bet for their boxing bout on Saturday night when he noted that it is stupid for a fighter to put their payout on the line for fight promotion. And when one fan joked that he should give his purse from the record-breaking 2018 clash with Nurmagomedov to his rival, he went in on the Russian fighter.

"You still owe Khabib your fight purse after that mauling," one fan wrote in a trolling message to McGregor, and was quickly replied to with a tweet that read "Khabib is a fat b**** with t**s now, lad." It's the latest in a string of aggressive insults he has hurled at his rival, with neither man backing down from their ugly feud.

The fight between McGregor and Nurmagomedov had a gnarly build-up that included the Irishman spending a night behind bars in New York after attacking a bus filled with fighters including his fellow lightweight. And the bout ultimately ended up becoming the biggest pay-per-view in UFC history, with over two million fans buying the show.

Nurmagomedov took control of the contest early and handily won the first two rounds before McGregor had the advantage in the third as he landed some big shots on the feet. But when they made it to the ground again in the fourth the Irishman was spent and he submitted to a rear-naked choke.

The Russian recently left McGregor off his top 15 list of all time in the sport, much to the Irishman's irritation. The 34-year-old had a hugely successful peak in the octagon having reigned as a two-weight champion which would see him make many UFC fans' top 15. However it is not enough to make it on Nurmagomedov's list, which is just the latest dig he has made since his 2020 retirement.

McGregor quickly hit back while quoting the tweet, writing: "In the end it's who's left. Don't forget. God bless Tidl Sports Science." Despite suffering a decline of form as of late that includes him winning just once since the end of 2016, McGregor is looking to remain active and is preparing for a new campaign at 170lb after piling on the pounds following his broken leg.
