Conor McGregor branded a "dope" by world champion kickboxer

A former world champion kickboxer has called Conor McGregor a "dope" following the UFC star's latest social media post.

The Notorious shared a number of photos from inside his Dublin pub on Monday as he met with fans and enjoyed a couple of drinks.

McGregor also showed off designer watches at the Black Forge Inn in Crumlin.

But French fighter Cyril Benzaquen hit out at McGregor, commenting on the post with the word: "Dope."

The post came after McGregor excited fans as he hinted at a UFC comeback.

The Dubliner continues to recover from his horror leg break he suffered in a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier.

And UFC fans can set reasonable expectations that they will see the Notorious return to the octagon in 2022.

And McGregor hinted at a return as he shared photos at his old weigh ins, promising that at return he will make championship weight.

Sharing the snaps, McGregor said in his first post: "7 years ago. Still here rocking championship weight."

And McGregor shared a second post, saying: "Championship weight, it’s all we know."

And fans rejoiced at the photos, with one social media calling for McGregor to return with a title fight as they said: "Championship bouts, it’s all we know. "

And another said: "Never missed weight. Never pulled out. Never said no to a fight. One of one."

McGregor has not fought since last July after losing back to back fights to Justin Poirier and there is no timescale on his return to the octagon.
