Conor McGregor's has been backed to appear on I'm a Celebrity after a video emerged showing the fight superstar eating dead bees.
Odds of the UFC ace featuring in the 2020 edition of the hit TV show this year were slashed from 200/1 to 50/1 as the video of him snacking on the dead insects went viral.
The clip, which was posted to Instagram, shows McGregor taking a jar of dead bees and spilling them on his chest, before picking one up and tossing it in his mouth.
Speaking to someone in the background of the video, McGregor says: "Are you sure they’re not wasps? Wasps are no good, just bees. You can see the honey coming out the back of them."
McGregor asks, 'Oh my Lord, what the f*** is this?' as he examines the insect and summons up the courage to chew and swallow the dead bee.
Bookies BoyleSports cut the odds of the Crumlin fighter swapping the cage for the jungle and spokesperson Sarah Kinsella said: "Conor McGregor could he heading Down Under if the latest betting is anything to go by.
"The UFC star is 50/1 from 200/1 to take part in I’m A Celebrity following his video he uploaded eating dead bees.
"Love Island star Maura Higgins is seeing some support too to land a spot in the 20 series of I’m A Celebrity with her odds now 6/1 from 14/1."
Manchester United legend Eric Cantona is another name from the world of sport being touted as a potential I'm a Celebrity contestant.
The French former striker is 5/1 in the betting, TV pundit and ex-Arsenal star Paul Merson is 1/3 and former boxer Ricky Hatton looks to be a shoo-in to compete in the show at 1/4.
